Chicken gravy(Madurai special)




















Ingredients:

Chicken - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1 cup
Tomato - 1 cup
Cashews - 4
Corriander leaves - 1 cup
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Chicken masala - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry

Direction:

  • Take 2 tsp oil in a pan. Put mustard seeds,cumin seeds,fennel seeds,curry leaves and corriander leaves.Saute well for 15 minutes.
  • Add ginger garlic paste.Saute until the raw smell of ginger garlic turns.
  • Add tomatos,close the lid until tomatos are cooked well.
  • Grind cashews with coconut.
  • Wash chicken and add this to the above mixer and mix well.
  • Add chicken masala(otherwise add turmeric powder,corriander powder,garam masala)
  • Boil upto 10 minutes.
  • Add ground coconut paste and allow to boil.
