Meen kuzhambu 2


Fish - 1/4 kg
Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
Corriander leaves
Onion - 2 cups
Tomato - 1 cup
coconut - 1 cup
Tamarind( lemon size)
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Sambar powder - 2 tsp
Corriander powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil as required


  • Wash and cut fishes into small pieces.Apply turmeric and set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Grind coconut,coriander leaves,onion together and keep aside.
  • In pan take oil and put mustard seeds,methi seeds,curry leaves,coriander leaves,fennel seeds,onion and tomato.
  • Saute well until onion become golden brown.
  • Extract the pulp from the tamarind which is already soaked in hot water for 15 minutes.
  • Add the tamarind pulp to the pan.And also add the ground mixture.
  • After 5 minutes add chili powder,turmeric powder,sambar powder,,coriander powder and salt.
  • This kuzhambu is ready...
