Salmon curry


Ingredients:

Salmon - 1 lb
Cumin seeds - 4 tsp
Onion - 1 cup
Tomato - 1/2 cup
Cumin powder - 3 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Green chilli - 3
Curry leaves
coriander leaves
salt to taste
Mustard oil


Direction:

  • Heat mustard oil in a pan,add 2 tsp of cumin seeds and fry salmon well.
  • Heat mustard oil in another pan and add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,curry leaves,onion,tomato,turmeric powder,cumin powder,corriader leaves and salt.
  • Add little amount of water and green chillies.
  • Now add fried salmon.Close the lid and allow to cook.

    Thanks for visiting my blog and the comment. This curry looks great and I note that you have used Mustard oil, it is almost like a Bong dish except Curry leaves and Mustard seasoning. Will try with Indian salmon ( Gurjali fish)

  5. Fish Curry with steaming hot rice..Appropriate for this cold weather. Malar, Your Salmon Curry looks delish and very tempting. Was wondering whether Mustard oil is a must for this recipe.
